Maria commenced her career as a GP in Penrith, moving to Northern Sydney in 1990, where she built a large practice in Greenwich and North Sydney concentrating on chronic disease management and palliative care. During this time she specialised as a Palliative Care Physician and for the last 10 years has been the Clinical Director of Palliative Care for Royal Prince Alfred and Balmain Hospitals, the surrounding community centres, and for medical provision to
Western NSW out of Dubbo and Lourdes Hospitals. Maria was short listed for the 2019 Sydney Local Health District Female Leader of the year.Since her graduation 38 years ago Maria has had a broad range of experiences in clinical service development and provision for a large population and including the acute hospital setting,
community and residential aged care, the regional setting, and for those with insecure housing, food and social disadvantage. She is also a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of
Sydney and now works as a senior staff specialist at RPA.

Dr Obeid graduated with honours from the University of Sydney in 1992. He completed specialist physician training in Geriatric Medicine at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Nepean Hospital, Sydney. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) since 1998.

Dr Obeid has held many distinguished positions in both public and private hospitals in the fields of geriatric medicine, rehabilitation, stroke and medical administration. He is currently a senior Visiting Medical Officer at Fairfield, Norwest Private and The Hills Private Hospitals in Sydney. He is the Director of Medical Services (Rehabilitation) at The Hills Private Hospital.

Dr Obeid has a keen interest in teaching, through his role as a clinical tutor at Notre Dame and Sydney Universities and was previously the Director of Prevocational Education and Training at Blacktown Hospital. He has served on the Federal Council of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine since 2001.

His principle interests are in delirium, stroke and Parkinson's disease.

Anna Walsh is a lawyer specializing in Medical Law and Bioethics. An former Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury law, she spent 10 years as a Partner at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, where she acted in a number of novel medical negligence cases and high profile inquests in the Coroner's Court. She has published widely in Medical Law and is a regular speaker at conferences. In 2011, she was named the Lawyer of the Year in Private Practice by the NSW Women Lawyers' Association, and in 2021 she was the recipient of the Catholic Medical Association's Mary Glowrie award for her contribution to medical ethics.

Anna is a PhD Candidate at the University of Notre Dame, completing a qualitative study on doctors and freedom of conscience. She teaches Advanced Torts, Mental Health Law, Remedies, Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing, and International Perspectives on Bioethics and the Law. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law in Civil Litigation and Ethics, and practices as a private Legal Consultant. She has Honours degrees in Law and Nursing, a Master of Laws (res) from University of Sydney and a Master of Bioethics from Harvard Medical School.
